IN ACQUISITION—6
Found
most places where Clif products are sold.
APPEARANCE/PRESENTATION—6
Meh. I don’t have feelings for the packaging
here one way or another, and I don’t really consider that to be to its credit.
TASTE—4
I’m
not a fan of these at all. The
problem starts with the texture—it’s a really bizarre intermediate to chewy and
solid, and gave me the impression that I was masticating agar. Moving into the flavor, things didn’t
get any better—they really overdid it on the black cherry flavoring, and to top
things off, it is way too sweet for my liking.
Needless to say, this isn’t a product I’ll be revisiting anytime soon.
KICK
(INTENSITY)—6
The
directions seem to suggest three blocks at a time during physical activity,
but…I took down all six in a go (might explain why the flavor got so old so
fast). The boost I got out of doing that
was decent—not spectacular by any means, but enough to make it so I didn’t feel
so dang sleepy, at least for a few minutes anyway.
KICK
(DURATION)—1
Very
transitory—I think this actually worked for about a half hour before I felt myself crash
back to earth. Very disappointing
indeed.
THE
SHOT OVERALL—3.67
All-in-all,
this is a fairly mediocre energy product, especially considering how many other
ways there are to speedily get one’s complex carbs/caffeine. Pass on this one.
