Review for Great Value Energy--Peach Mango

CAFFEINE CONTENT

120 mg/packet

EASE IN ACQUISITION—10

If you live near a Wal-Mart, you should very easily be able to get your hands on a box of Great Value Energy, or any other great value product for that matter.  If not—say please say hello to the Son, Vasquez, and Escobar families for me, because I imagine you’re somewhere near Quetzaltenango, Guatemala…you lucky S.O.B. you.

APPEARANCE/PRESENTATION—5

Like any Great Value product, this energy mix does not need visual appeal—people are going to track it down and buy it regardless; they’re in it for the savings, and as far as savings is concerned, Great Value Energy has plenty of appeal.  Who needs to look good when you can supply 10 okay energy experiences for $1.73?

TASTE—8

In stark contrast to their pomegranate lemonade endeavor, this one actually tastes good, and actually tastes kind of peachy and kind of mangoy—now, that’s not to say that once you manage to get all the sediment mixed in that you’ll have a product that tastes like juiced mangos and peaches, but the result is passable, and you never feel the need to wipe the synthetic taste off your tongue after the fact.  If you’re buying these for the price alone, I absolutely recommend this one—well, that and dragonfruit, so you can tell me what you think the latter tastes like.

KICK (INTENSITY)—7

This one might taste better than the others, but the kick is still average—expect a moderate boost in alertness and all that good stuff, sans jitters (unless you down two packets in one sitting, in which case you can expect jitters and a heck of a lot more energy).

KICK (DURATION)—7

Three hours, no crash.

THE PRODUCT OVERALL—7.33

I’m still not sold on Great Value’s energy products, but as far as cheap energy is concerned, you’d be hard-pressed to do better than this—it’s pretty inexpensive and actually tastes decent.  If you’re going to buy a Great Value energy mix, this is probably the way to go.

  1. 10 okay energy experiences indeed! (Or 5 Awesome EE's) I like this stuff better than Monster. This tastes like peach and mango but it's not gross like peach tea. Also, it has a few B vitamins but doesn't taste like vitamin.
